The Australian Government, in association with state and territory governments, identified 56 regions covering all of Australia in order to facilitate the integrated delivery of Natural Resource Management (NRM). NRM is delivered via the integrated implementation of the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality and the Natural Heritage Trust, and relies on the cooperation of governments at all levels.
