In the context of coastal landforms, ?stability? refers to their degree of susceptibility to physical change (erosion, accretion, etc); in this sense the term is used in a narrower sense than ?sensitivity?, which encompasses both the susceptibility of coastal landforms to physical change and to also to other impacts such as inundation.
